Today we made chocolate chip cookies. Who doesn’t love a nice, warm, melty, gooey, chocolate chip cookie? Just what we needed to take the cold Maine edge off! This is our favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe that is tried and true in this house of 6.

1 stick softened butter

3/4 cup of brown sugar

1 egg

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1 1/4cup of flour

1 1/2 cup chocolate chips

1 Tablespoon of cocoa

dash of cinnamon

2 teaspoons of vanilla

1. Preheat oven to 350F

2. in one bowl mix sugar and butter until creamy.

3. Add the egg and stir.

4. Add all the rest of the ingredients while you keep stirring. This is why I like cooking with the kids, I have more hands to help!

5. When the mix is done and thick scoop using a spoon or ice cream scoop on to your cookie sheet.

6. cook for about ten minutes, you should let cool so you don’t burn yourself! But dig in 🙂 Throw some ice cream on top and really have a good day!
